- In an enclosure sent with his May 23, 1936 ltr to Ernest Wileder, by Arthur Wardwell, headed-up "David Demaree Halstead" son of Isaac Halstead and Margaret Caroline Linkletter, he addresses the issue of their children and he shows the death of Chloetilda Caroline [Halstead] Rose as March 1, 1885. And yet, her obituary appeared "Ft. Dodge, Iowa Mar 1, 1890" and noted she passed away at 10:45 on Saturday evening..." which "jives" with the date of Feb 28, 1890 as her death date.
