  	Robert Hedgecock, provides us the following background on Eliza: "Gary, I can help some as follows; Eliza Welch who married Thomas Gossett Hedgecock is the dau of Johathan and Mary Thompson Welch, grandau of William and Mary King Welch who came to NC about 1790 from MD (if I remember correctly). William Welch was the brother of Keziah Welch who married my ancestor John Hitchcock. Hence we are cousins through both the Hitchcocks and Welchs. I can give you more detail if you desire."
