  Amanda and Benjamin made their home near Barry until 1878, when they moved to Grand Island, nebraska to settle on a farm. Mrs Halstead died iJuly, 12, 1892. Mr Halstead lived on the farm until 1913, when he moved to the city to make his home with his daughters, Mrs John Hammacher and Mrs. Elliott Burnett. This information came from a obituary notice in the Grand Island newspaper Ron Croft has a record of Benjamin moved to Smith Center, kansas from Barry and then to Grand island. While he was living in Smith Center, he signed for a sister-in-law for property there.
