      MRS HOOKER IS DEAD FOLLOWING OPERATION HERE.

      Mrs Olive May Hooker, 57 years old, wife of Elijah Hooker of 359
      Garfield Street, died at 3:10 this morning, at the Ivinson Hospital,
      following a major operation on Sunday.
      The body is at the Stryker Mortuary, awaiting the arrival of her
      daughter, Mrs Alice Rogers, of Denver. Mrs Hooker was a native of
      Indiana, but the family came here from New Mexico about a year ago.
      She has two sons, Floyd C Hooker and Isaac H Hooker, both Fireman on
      the Union Pacific, and leaves seven grandchildren, two the children of
      Floyd and five of Mrs Rogers. Mrs Hooker was born a Methodist, but
      had not united with the church here. The two older children, Alice
      and Isaac, were born in Indiana, the younger, Floyd, being a native
      of New Mexico.
      Mrs Hooker did not belong to any secret society. Her husband is
      employed at the Laramie Stockyards. The funeral of Mrs Hooker will be
      held at the Stryker Mortuary at 2 o'clock thursday afternoon, with
      services by the Rev. George H Lowry, pastor of the Presbyterian
      church.
      The interment will be in the city cemetery.
