	In that both sources were co-compiled between Claude and another, it is difficult to judge which date is most probable based on source. In that he m. 1st Blanche Ford [b.1895] in 1917 it would seem more probable that he would have married at age twenty-four to a wife two years younger, rather than waiting until age fifty-four and marry his first wife, age twenty-two. The later schenario being based on a "1863" birth date; AND in that the listing of the children in "Outline Guide..." lists this individual after brother Claude Griffin, b.1891 also makes the 1893 date more likely. Thus, we accept the 1893 birth date as "more probable"
