  	[Wardwell] In an enclosure sent with his May 23, 1936 ltr to Ernest Wileder headed-up "David Demaree Halstead" son of Isaac Halstead and Margaret Caroline Linkletter, he addresses the issue of their children and he shows the death of Chloetilda Caroline [Halstead] Rose as March 1, 1885. And yet, her obituary appeared "Ft. Dodge, Iowa Mar 1, 1890" and noted she passed away at 10:45 on Saturday evening..." which "jives" with the date of Feb 28, 1890 as her death date. Was Caroline Linkletter's name "Margaret Caroline Linkletter"? e-mail response from LaDonna English 6 Aug 1999 "If Caroline Linkletter had a Margaret tacked on, I never saw it or heard of it. It is not listed that way in the Hardenbergh Family by Myrtle Hardenbergh Miller. Unfortunately Myrtle followed her line and barely touched on James Linkletter and Catherine Hardenbergh, the parents of Caroline." Note: Wardwell may have confused Caroline Linkletter and her mother-in-law Phebe Margaret [Bogardus] Halstead, and mistakenly placed the "Margaret" name with the wrong person.
