I have now found Charles and his wife Betsey and children Anna, Andrew, Martha, Goerge and Mary in the 1850 census in Lima, Grant County, Wisconsin. They are in the 1860 census in Manhattan, Riley County, Kansas in July. Anna married Charles Lewis Blood ( divorced). Andrew married Mary and moved to Los Angeles. Their son was named Byron Dexter Halstead, b 1879. Martha may have married James Lee. Mary married George Washington Stark and lived in Lawrence County, Missouri. Betsey is in the 1880 census of Lawrence County, Missouri with her son George, but without Charles...perhaps he had died. Interested in more information
