  	LaDonna: A number of months ago, you sent me a 'bunch' of information, which included a statement from a A.N. Halstead, that you later thought may have come from Ms Deavers. That statement, quoted below, I believe now to be by NOT "A.N." but by "Abraham M. Halstead, who was indeed son of Albertus, etc. etc. as listed below - - - the facts all seem to fit for this individual. Although I still DO NOT BUY into the lineage from the alledged Thomas Sr., etc. etc. at this point. I do however find the information 'credible' back to that generation and in keeping on what we have of the lineage back through the Thomas [b.1723]; with exception of dates [day/month] given for births of John and Thomas. "A.N.Halstead, born 7 Oct 1836 in Pickway Cty, OH. My father was Albertus Halstead born 19 Oct. 1808, at Ulster (?) County, N.Y. His father was Abraham (Sr.?) Halstead born 12 June. 1783, same place. His father, John Halstead was born 8 Nov 1755. John married Sarah Meyer of New Jersey on the 30 Aug. 1782 (Her father was Capt. Abraham Meyer, 1720). John Halstead’s father was Thomas Halstead, born 10 Mar 1723 on Rye, L. Island Sound. His wife was Phebe Bogardus, 10 Aug 1729. Thomas Halstead’s father was Thomas Halstead (Sr.) the first in New York. He was a sailor and came from Europe in 1674. His wife was Jenetta Smith, a daughter of Admiral Aaron Smith of Manchester, England." "The old Hallstead name was Halland on E Bk(?( of Cattery at Srend (?) Sweden" "A.N.
