He was a Cart Driver aged 20, a bachelor residing in Halifax. His father was listed as James BRAZEY, a Mason. After Banns. The marriage was witnessed by Joseph BREARLY and Mary Ann MACARTY.1,2
In the census of 3 April 1881 at 25 Holyroyd Street, Halifax, Yorkshire, Joseph was listed as aged 31 born Halifax, the Head of Household; a Cart Driver, livign with his wife Elizabeth, son Alfred J, daughters Frances and Ann, father-in-law Alfred HALSTEAD, broither-in-law Saml HALSTEAD.3

     Research Note: Whilst I am sure that I have the right person there is a nagging doubt.

There is a large discrepency in Elizabeth age as well as the fact that I can find not records of her after the death of her first husband Joseph BRAZEY.
Elizabeth HALSTEAD was born in 1855 at Halifax, Yorkshire. She was the daughter of Alfred HALSTEAD and Frances GIBSON. In the census of 2 April 1871 at 2 Painter Court, Halifax, Yorkshire, she was listed as single, a Mill Hand, aged 16 born Halifax, the daughter of Alfred HALSTEAD.1

In the census of 6 June 1841 at New Road, Halifax, Yorkshire, he was listed as aged 2 born in county, the assumed son of William HOLSTEAD.2 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 14 Scotts Row, Halifax, Yorkshire, he was listed as a Worsted Spinner, aged 11 born Halifax, the son of William HOLSTEAD.3 In the census of 7 April 1861 at New Bank, Northowram, Yorkshire, he was listed as single, an Iron Tin Plate Maker, aged 21 born Halifax, a Boarder (actually brother-in-law) of Thomas CARTER.4
David married Emma BEDFORD on 27 December 1862 at St John the Baptist, Halifax, Yorkshire. He was a Turner & Brazier aged 23, a bachelor residing in Northowram. His father was listed as William HALSTEAD, a Mason. By Certificate. The marriage was witnessed by Joseph BEDFORD and Mary BEDFORD.5,6

In the census of 3 April 1881 at Wakefield Road, Skircoat, Yorkshire, she was listed as aged 9 born Watley, the daughter of William HALSTEAD.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 at 19 Causeway Road, Warley, Yorkshire, she was listed as single, a Dress Maker, aged 19 born Warley, the daughter of William HALSTEAD.3
Leah married Albert Edward BARRETT on 15 February 1893 at St James, Halifax, Yorkshire. She was aged 21, a spinster residing in Bowling Dyke. Her father was listed as William HALSTEAD, a Publican. After Banns. The married was witnessed by Lister PICKLES and Sarah HALSTEAD.4,5
