In the census of 2 April 1911 at 22 St Andrews Place, Bradford, Yorkshire, he was listed as single, a Staff Merchants Clerk, aged 23 born Bradford, the son of Hannah Maria SCHNEIDER.2

Research Note: Changed his name from Oswald SCHNEIDER to Oswald HALSTEAD - I suspect sometime before WW1 but after teh 1911 census.
Oswald married Janet THOMAS in 1918 in the Bradford registration district.3
Oswald died on 5 November 1948 at Edinburgh.
