     Henry Halstead STANSFIELD was born in 1846 at Spotland, Lancashire. He was the son of John STANSFIELD and Ann (?). In the census of 30 March 1851 at Tenter House, Spotland, Lancashire, he was listed as aged 4 born Spotland, the son of John STANSFIELD.1 In the census of 7 April 1861 at High Barn Farm, Spotland, Lancashire, he was listed as s Cotton Drawer, aged 14 born Spotland, the son of John STANSFIELD.2
Henry married Sarah PILLING in 1869 at the Register Office, Rochdale, Lancashire.3
In the census of 2 April 1871 at 34 Yorkshire Street, Wardleworth, Lancashire, Henry was listed as aged 24 born Rochdale, the Head of Household; a Wine Dealer, living with his wife Sarah, father John STANSFIELD, sister Mary Hannah STANSFIELD.4
