Mr. A. H. Bond was articled to Messrs. Maynard, auctioneers, of Taunton, several years ago, and since leaving that firm has been serving with firm of auctioneers at Bristol. About two months ago, he had a short illness, from which he recovered and went away with his father on a holiday. On returning, he went back to business, but was taken ill again, the trouble being some affection of the brain, from which, though every medical attention was given him, died in about a fortnight. The funeral took place on Monday last at Westbury. near Bristol, large number of handsome flowers being contributed by sorrowing friends.⁵

Probert, formerly of Moree, acted as best man, while the bridesmaids were Miss Clara Tweeddale and Miss Ruby Grunow, Mr. S. A. Tweeddale officiating as groomsman. The bride, who was daintily attired in white crepe de chine, pearl trimmings and orange blossoms, wore the usual wreath and veil, and was given away by her father. The contracting parties were the recipients of a very large and costly number of presents, both from Sydney and Moree friends. After the marriage ceremony a large number of guests were present at the breakfast when the usual toasts were drunk. The happy couple left in the afternoon for the Mountains where the honeymoon will be spent.²
