  	" Clarence L Horst,85, died Thursday, May 31, at the Anderson County Hospital. He was born December 19,1915, to William C and Sara Killingsworth Horst in Harris, Kansas. He lived in Anderson County for the last ten years and in Johnson County,Kansas for 40 years. He was a truck driver for CMI for 31 years. He was also a flight instructor. He served in the Army Air Corps. He married Mary Etta Halstead of Garnett,Kansas on July 17,1935 and is preceded in death by her. He married Dora Drybread at Burlington , Kansas on September 17,1993. She survives of the home. He was a member of the American Legion Post #48 and the Teamsters Local#451. He is survived by a son,Clarence D Horst of Spring Hill, a daughter, Shirley Jean Horst Walker of Poway,California; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two half-brothers, a sister and one half-sister. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 2, at Ferris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel in Garnett with Rev Gary Benjamin officiating. Music was provided by Jeanine Zentner, organist, and Richard Parks, soloist,. Casketbearers were Robert Elliott, Pete Henry, Mike Riblett, Gerald Riley, Chris Webb and Gene Young. Interment was at the Garnett Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Legion Post #48."
