- In addition to the children listed for this marriage, two sources also give an Amey Powell, one born 5 Nov 1700, the other 9 Nov 1700 . This would require one of the following explanation: 1) The name and date are confused with the birth of Amos Powell; 2) this was a miscarriage of four months where the sex of the passenger could be determined and it was given a name and buried; 3) there actually was a child named Amey, but the date given is in error, and possibly Amos and Amey were twins. Frankly, I think the point is moot and not worth an inordinate amount of consideration.
