Funeral services for David DeWayne Ramsey, 46, were held Thursday at Bustard’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Carr of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Casper officiating. Interment was held in Valley View Cemetery in Torrington. He died April 28, 2001, in Casper as the result of an automobile accident. He was born June 17, 1954, in Torrington, the son of Vivian Willard "Bud" and Kay Jean (Bradbury) Ramsey. He graduated from Torrington Senior High school in 1972. He was employed in uranium mining and at the time of his death, he was communication director at Cogema Mining Corporation. He enjoyed camping, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and cooking, and was a member of Natrona County Rockhounds. He was the last of the real gentlemen and believed in equal rights.
He is survived by his soul mate, Debbie A. Ramsey of Casper; their two children, Nicole Willy of Casper and Shawn Black and her husband, Eric, of Portland; his parents of Torrington; two brothers; Steve of Casper and Rod and his wife, Audrey, of Pocatello; a sister, Sabrina Tanner of Torrington; paternal grandfather, Robert A. "Pat" Ramsey of Mitchell, Neb.; and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, maternal grandparents and several uncles.
