- "Notes for William Hitchcock: According to his Probate of March 28, 1685, he owned 100 acres of land called "Hitchcock's Fortune" in the province of Ye Clifts of Calvert County. It was given to his sons when they reached the age of 17, however Christopher must have died shortly after his father because he is buried with his father in Calvert County. Richard Stallings and Robert Gerves were appointed as guardians for the children. Mary Hitchcock married William Jones shortly after her first husband died."
