My thoughts are, that at the 1850 enumeration, the mother had passed, and elder dau Catherine [maybe a widow] was living with her father and helping raise the younger children, who may actually have been: Mary Helen Sarah Jane John Isaac or the Catherine also could have been daughter in law Catherine Maria who was a widow in 1849. However, this leaves some disparity between the dates of the children.
