Jasper Smyth, Incumbent of the parish, on behalf of the Vestry and parishioners, moved a vote of thanks to Mr Rhodes, which was carried by acclamation. The following ladies presided at the stalls:—Mesdames Lawreil, Oliver, Thompson, Smith, assisted by the Misses Halstead. Orton, Lawreil, Shaw; the bran pies, by Mrs Worthington and Miss Acton: the refreshment table, by Mesdames Halstead, Ray and Killey, assisted by Miss Fanny Halstead and Miss Ray. Mr Orton conducted the out-door sale of sheep, wheat, oats, potatoes, flour, poultry, &c, and satisfactory prices were realised, the gross proceeds being about £60.7
