An inquest was held on the body the same day, at the Bridge Inn, Broughton Road, before the deputy coroner, when evidence was adduced that the deceased was afflicted mentally as well as bodily, and a verdict to the effect that he had destroyed himself whilst labouring under insanity was returned.5,6
