The deceased was delivered of a child, but the woman who attended her failed in endeavouring to remove the afterbirth, when Mr. Ward, surgeon, of Middlestown, was called in. He found the deceased exhausted from loss of blood. He administered the usual restoratives, but the poor woman was so feeble that she died in about half an hour after. The Jury returned a verdict of "Died of hemorrhage."⁴

Sir, —Before leaving Manitoba, where I have been in Mission work for a number of years, I received many letters from good reliable people, asking to take out with me boys, young men, and married couples, for farm work. I am now visiting my native place, and will be pleased to hear from anyone who would like to accompany me to Canada—leaviug Liverpool on the 17th of next month. I want three or four devoted Christian young men for my " Home Mission Farm," in Manitoba. They would have a good opportunity to prepare for useful life as missionaries, mission farmers, school teachers, &c. may mention that some people are greatly built-up in health by a change of climate from England to Manitoba. Asthmatic persons are almost sure to be cured by our Manitoba climate. The Home Mission Farm will be devoted to the best methods of Agriculture, adapted to the country and climate ; to horticulture, to care of animals, &c. We study the fundamental truths of Christianity, circulation of Christian literature, Sabbath school work, and local mission work in the country round about.
