She also wore a gold slave bangle which was a gift from the bridegroom. Miss Swift was dressed in blue georgette over pink, and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. Mrs. Harris, the bride's mother, wore navy blue crepe de Chine, and Mrs. Halstead, the bridegroom's mother, a pretty gown of black and silver.
The bride's present to the bridegroom was a travelling case, and the bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid was a string of pearls.
