In March last year he went to Palestine, and was drafted to France about nine weeks ago, being killed in action on Sept. 27, He was 35 years of age, and leaves a widow. When he joined up he was employed by Mr. Atherton, leather merchant, but up to a few years ago worked in the warehouse at Waterside Mill.9

Pte. H. H. HORSFALL. We regret to record the death of Pte. Herbert Halstead Horsfall (London Territorials), of 35, Cambridge Street, who had been in the army over two years. In March last year he went to Palestine, and was drafted to France about nine weeks ago, being killed in action on Sept. 27, He was 35 years of age, and leaves a widow. When he joined up he was employed by Mr. Atherton, leather merchant, but up to a few years ago worked in the warehouse at Waterside Mill.9
