FATAL ACCIDENT BURNLEY
Sarah Hannah Ashworth. a widow, 61 years of age. who had lived herself 2. Russell-street. had suffered from fits of dizziness and bronchitis for twelve months, and whilst walking in the house on Thursday she was seized with a fit of dizziness, fell against the top bar, and broke several of her ribs. On Friday morning she went across to her niece, who lives opposite, and told her what had happened, and the niece assisted her hack home and put her to bed. The relieving officer gave information to Dr. Hodges. who expressed the opinion that the woman was too weak to he removed the Workhouse Infirmary. Mrs Ashworth died as a result of the injuries she had received at 3 a.m. on Saturday morning. At an inquest held on Monday afternoon at the Town Hall by the Coroner Mr. H. J. Robinson, a verdict of accidental death was returned.6
