He left Burnley in 1896, and went to Worsthorne, where he was loom overlooker for Messrs. Halstead's until 1900, when he removed Blackshawhead and worked for the Jack Bridge Manufacturing Co., eventually going to live Mytholmroyd. He leaves five sons, one daughter, eight grandchildren.
