Mr. Tom Robinson (friend of the bridegroom) acted best man, and Mr. J.Bell (brother-in-law of the bride) was groomsman. Following the ceremony, conducted by the Rev. F. G. Bromiley, a reception was held at the home of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Higgins will take up residence 54 Bird Street. Both families are well-known in the district, Mr. A. Higgins for 22 years managing the Brierfield furnishing department of the Co-operative Society, and Mr. L. Halstead being popular employee at Reeds and Sons, Nelson.
