The Rev. A. H. Candler performed the ceremony; and Mr. H. F. Shaw, L.R.A.M., L.T.C.L. on the organ played the Bridal March and the hymn "God of mercy, God of grace." The bridegroom is serving with the R.A.M.C. and the bride is a winder at Messrs. Riddick Stuttard's, Clover Mill, Nelson.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a dress of white lace with spray of orange blossom at the neck, lovers' knot on skirt, and spray of orange blossom and silver leaves with veil, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses. Her bridesmaids, Miss Cora Roberts, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Elsie Cheatham, sister of the bride, were attired in blue taffeta with blue net covering trimmed with blue ribbon and fuchsia coloured sashes. head dresses and veils and mittens, and carried bouquets of tea roses. The bride's mother wore a wine coloured dress with lace sleeves and front and dark hat, and the bridegroom's mother was wearing a floral dress and dark hat.
The duties' of best man were discharged by Mr. Frank Tempest, friend 'of the bridegroom, and the groomsman was Mr. Kenneth Roberts, brother of the 'groom. The reception was held at Brennan's Cafe, Market Square, forty-one guests attending: The future address is 61 Camden Street, Nelson.4
